The Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE) is a civil association of private right without profit aims, constituted under Brazilian Law.
Mission
To promote the ample adoption of electric vehicles by the society and the market for a clean and efficient people and goods transport, benefiting the whole of its members, the general well-being and the environment protection.
Eletric vehicles: vehicles that utilize at least one electric motor for their traction, and include, among others, the battery, hybrid, fuel cell and trolley bus electric vehicles. It is also included their basic and auxiliary components, the accumulation of energy systems and the energy distribution infrastruture.
Specific objectives
- To develop programs to promote the electric vehicles rapid development, demonstration and commercialization.
- To promote and participate in research and development programs on vehicular electric technology area, standard development inclusive.
- To develop educational programs for key groups, including the press, industry, educational institutions, the responsibles for proposition and approval of laws and regulations, opinion makers, and potential users.
- To advocate incentives to the development and use of electric driven technology and clean transport.
- To serve as a primary source of accurate, updated and complete information on electric vehicle technical, political, educational and market aspects, promoting its diffusion throughout the media.
- To represent judicial or extrajudicially the associates onthe defense of collective or homogeneous individual interests, without the necessity of specific general assembly authorization.
The ABVE is governed by the following principles:
- Social responsibility on the use of natural resources, environment, and common interests and properties.
- Compromise on the fulfilling the ABVE's objectives.
- Permanent search of quality.
- Development and ample divulgation of knowledge.
- Adoption of the greater environmental protection and more energectically efficient solutions, considered all steps of fuel processing since the prospecting and exploring of raw materials until the final use for vehicle traction.
- Adoption of management practices necessary and sufficient to achieve its proposals and to restrain the attainment, in a individual or collective way, of personal benefits and advantages arisen from participation in the decision processes.
