MAN Latin America was created officially on March 16th, 2009, with the acquisition of Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus (Volkswagen Trucks and Buses) by the MAN SE (The Man Group parent company). With a total production capacity of 60 thousand vehicles a year, it is the largest truck manufacturer and the second largest bus manufacturer in South America.
MAN Latin America vehicles are assembled in Resende, state of Rio de Janeiro, in the company’s factory, which is also the product development center.
Customized vehicles solutions and the best cost-benefit ratio for its clients in Brazil have ensured MAN Latin America the leadership in truck sales in Brazil for 12 consecutive years, with a market share of above 30%.
MAN Latin America offers a complete line of Volkswagen trucks and buses and MAN trucks, with more than 40 models available being sold in 30 countries in South America Latina, Africa, and the Middle East.
